Mahindra has announced the brand name of its upcoming new-gen Scorpio, which had been codenamed Z101, as the all-new Scorpio-N. The Scorpio-N will sit below the XUV700 and the current Scorpio (which will be called the Scorpio Classic) in Mahindra's lineup.The Scorpio-N gets a completely new exterior design language. The SUV gets a reworked front grille with six chrome slats, an LED headlight unit, C-shaped housings for the fog lamps, and a reworked alloy design. The Scorpio-N also gets the new 'Twin Peaks' Mahindra logo, as seen on the XUV700. From the sides, the upcoming SUV is characterised by a large glasshouse with a chrome outline, large wing mirrors, black wheel arches and door sills.The new-gen Scorpio-N is expected to be powered by the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engines from the XUV700 and Thar. Gearbox options will include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic. The Scorpio-N will be offered with a 4x4 option too.“The All-New Scorpio-N is an important vehicle for Mahindra, set to redefine the SUV segment in India. Our newest SUV is laden with advanced technology and will offer spirited performance and superior driving dynamics." claims the automaker. Marketed as the 'BigDaddyOfSUVs', the Scorpio-N boasts premium interiors and comes loaded with a host of advanced modern features and the latest technology, says Mahindra.The Scorpio-N will be launched in the Indian market on June 27th.
